Do you have parking?
Yes and no. Read on for all the deets. At our Downtown Columbus axe throwing facility we don’t have our own parking lot, but there are meters throughout the area ($1/hour with a 3 hour max). Some side streets have cheaper options if you’re willing to walk a block or two. There are also several surface parking lots and garage options (Main St./4th St., Cherry/4th St. and 3rd St./Cherry)
At our New Albany axe throwing facility, we do have our own parking lot.
Is there an age limit?
We do not have a specific age limit, but we do have a policy around age. We believe if you as a parent/guardian are okay with your child throwing an axe, we’re there to help make it happen. To date, our youngest thrower has been 5 years old. In our experience, young throwers around 10-11 years old and older do best – but a little athletic ability and determination got that 5 year-old to stick the axe. Any throwers under the age of 18 will be required to have a parent or guardian with them who is legally able to sign their liability release.
In all of our lounges, you must be 21 or older to drink alcohol on our premises. We WILL ask for your ID, so if you’re not 21 or older, you won’t be drinking here, no exceptions.
Where are you located?
Our original location is in the heart of Downtown Columbus at 309 S. 4th Street, Columbus, OH 43215. If you’re not familiar with the area, we’re across the street from Grismer Tire and Auto, and half a block south of Dirty Frank’s, Mikey’s Late Night Slice and 16-Bit.
If you’re visiting our New Albany location, we’re at 5780 N. Hamilton Road, New Albany, OH 43230. Some of our neighbors include Club Pilates, Sweetwaters Coffee and Tea, and Tropical Smoothie.
When are you open?
Our Central Ohio locations both have full bars and are outside food friendly. Our Downtown Columbus location is open Wednesday through Sunday for reservations and walk-ins (Wednesday & Thursday 5pm-10pm, Friday 4pm-11pm, Saturday Noon-11pm, Sunday Noon-8pm). At Hamilton Quarter in New Albany, we’re open Monday-Thursday 4pm-11pm, Friday 4pm-12am, Saturday Noon-12am and Sunday Noon-8pm. For large group events – such as corporate events, holiday parties and larger birthday/bachelor/bachelorette parties – we’ll open outside of normal business hours. Just give us a call at 614.221.1600 or fill out our contact form to speak with one of our friendly representatives to assist you. Don’t see a time on our online scheduler that fits what you want? Give us a call and we’ll be happy to try and fit your group in – we’re confident that we can make just about any time or day work with at least 48 hours notice. You can also check our private event schedule below.

Do I need a reservation? What if I just want to walk in?
Reservations for axe throwing are highly recommended to guarantee a lane for your group at the date and time that you want. However, similar to a bowling alley, walk-ins are always welcome during our standard open hours as long as there is a throwing lane available. Wait times will vary depending on the day and time, so make sure to check our online schedule to see if reservations are available. We are also a full service bar, and walk-in bar patrons are always welcome during normal business hours with no reservation required. Just come on in, belly up, place that order and watch your favorite sporting event on one of our many large format TVs. Don’t forget that special events and private parties are available 7 days a week for 10am-10pm. Not seeing what you’re looking for? Contact us or call 614.221.1600.
Is there a wait list?
Cancellations are uncommon, so if the time you’re looking for isn’t available on the website, then you’ll most likely have to pick another. Feel free to drop in or give us a call and try to get lucky, but we can’t make any promises.
How do I make a reservation?
Click here to view our online reservation tool. Use the calendar function to choose a date and time. Our system will walk you through the whole process.
How far in advance do I need a reservation?
Dueling Axes is first come, first served, so if there is a day and time you really want, we recommend scheduling several weeks in advance. Weekends are pretty busy and fill up fast, so keep that in mind when planning your night out. You can occasionally find an open slot on the same day, but we recommend booking a reservation at least a couple days in advance, or more if you have a large group.
What if I don’t see the time slot I want for my reservation?
Not seeing what you’re looking for or have a special request? Contact us or call 614.221.1600. Deposits can be made online at checkout, or over the phone. We can also double-check availability to make sure you get the reservation you want.
Can I bring more people than we reserved ahead of time?
Additional group members can pay on site, but we generally recommend no more than 6 people per lane. With more than 6 on a lane, you may not get to throw as much as you like. That being said, the more, the merrier!
What if we’re late for our reservation?
We run a tight ship and there may be a group scheduled for your lane when your reservation is over. Try not to be late or your time in the lane could get cut short. We ask that all guests arrive at least 15 minutes before their reservation for a quick safety talk and coaching session.
Can I rent the whole place?
Absolutely! We would love to host your group outing, team-building event or fundraiser. Visit the Groups page for more information. Call or email us for available reservation times, package pricing and any special requests your group may have, and our event coordinator will make sure your party goes off without a hitch.
Do you have leagues?
Yes! Check out League information below.
