Within a few months, our eyes were set on expansion into additional markets, larger venues, and the addition of food and beverage services. Dueling Axes currently has three locations (two in Columbus, OH and one in Las Vegas, NV). A fourth location is planned to open in Cincinnati, OH in early 2025.

Overview:

We’re growing, and looking for a creative, responsible, confident, energetic and reliable individual to help boost our expanding brand and help us tell our story in unique and engaging ways. We are seeking a Creative Social Media Marketing Manager with a strong background in content creation (written and visual) and intermediate design skills. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of proven experience in managing social media platforms for businesses, developing compelling content, managing email marketing efforts, and driving brand engagement.

This position will be highly important in ensuring our brand story and initiatives are efficiently and effectively communicated to the public in order to expand brand awareness, increase audience engagement, and support sales. This position will require 40+ hours a week and will offer additional opportunities for growth as Dueling Axes grows. This is a salaried position ($45,000 – $55,000/annually), comes with company sponsored health/dental/vision benefits, and paid time off. This position is partially (mostly) work-from-home. Expectations for some time to be spent in any of our locations will be required (this means some travel is to be expected). This position will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to align with business goals.
  • Create, curate, and manage engaging content for various social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn).
  • Design visually appealing graphics and multimedia content to support campaigns and posts.
    • Utilize company generated video and creative assets as well
  • Write and optimize blog posts to drive organic traffic and engage readers.
  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to support broader marketing goals (we use MailChimp).
  • Manage, organize, and develop email marketing audience lists.
  • Analyze social media performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to optimize engagement, audience growth, and reach/impressions.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency across all channels.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Assist in additional marketing/sales efforts as needed/directed by the executive team.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of proven experience as a Social Media Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to create engaging and on-brand content.
  • Proficiency in intermediate design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
  • Experience with social media analytics tools.
  • Experience in writing blog posts with special attention of SEO best practices
  • Experience developing, creating and executing email marketing campaigns, including audience list management.
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in eatertainment/active leisure/bar/restaurant industry.
  • Experience in the SaaS/B2B software industry.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO principles and web traffic metrics.
  • Experience using website and social media analytics to optimize efforts.
  • Experience with social media audience engagement.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in creating organic social media content such as mobile device photos and videos.
